Where It Began
Karan Jain Started This. Not as a Business. As a Fix.
In the early 2010s, Bangalore had no shortage of study abroad consultants. What it had a shortage of was honest ones.
Students were paying good money for bad advice. Parents were mortgaging futures on consultants who handed out photocopied shortlists and vanished after the cheque cleared. The process was opaque, the industry was broken, and nobody seemed particularly bothered about fixing it.
Karan was bothered.
He had seen too many students — smart, capable, deserving students — get lost in a system designed to profit from their confusion rather than solve it. So in 2012, he did the only thing that made sense to him: he built something better.
He called it Reknown Edu Services®. And from a small office in Bangalore, he started doing something radical — telling students the truth about their profiles, building real strategies around real documents, and measuring success the only way that mattered: did the student get in?
The answer, more often than not, was yes.
